We know choosing the perfect rug can come with a few questions - whether it's about delivery, materials, custom sizes, or caring for your rug. That’s why we’ve put together this handy guide to help make your shopping experience as smooth as possible.

Do you keep rugs in stock or are they made to order?

Most of the rugs and carpets on our website are in stock and available in a wide range of sizes. In fact, we’re proud to hold one of the largest rug inventories in the UK!


How can I pay for my rug?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, Delta, and Maestro. Please note: we only accept cards registered in the UK.


Do you offer mail order?

Yes! You can place your order directly through our website for delivery straight to your door.


How fast is delivery and how much does it cost?

  • Standard Delivery (GB Mainland): 3–5 working days, completely free.

  • Next Day Delivery: Available for orders placed by 2pm (GB Mainland only).

  • Larger rugs (over 8ft wide or 30kg): Delivery may take 7–14 days and could involve delivery via our own vans.

Note for Offshore Islands & Highlands: Deliveries to Isle of Wight, AB, DD, FK, IV, KW, PA, and PH postcodes are subject to size/weight limits (up to 2.46m wide or 30kg). Additional delivery charges may apply depending on item size and weight.


How do I place an order?

You can order securely online, email us your enquiry, or call us on 01745 584404. Just quote the design number and size you’re interested in, and we’ll take it from there.


Can I place a rug on underfloor heating?

Yes, but please note that rugs will reduce the efficiency of underfloor heating due to insulation. Some rug types may not be suitable. For tog ratings and compatibility, contact us before purchasing.


Will the rug fade in sunlight, especially in a conservatory?

All wool rugs can fade with prolonged exposure to sunlight. Conservatories with floor-to-ceiling windows will accelerate this process. To help prevent fading, close curtains or blinds when not using the room. Latex-backed rugs can also stiffen or degrade in strong sunlight—please ask us if you're unsure which rug is best.


Do I need underlay for my rug?

If your rug is going on a wooden or hard floor, underlay is highly recommended. It prevents slipping, protects your floor, and extends the life of your rug.
Note: Very large underlays may come in multiple pieces - this will not affect performance.


What if I love a rug but need a different size?

No problem! Many of our Indian and Pakistani rugs can be custom-made to your desired size. We can accommodate sizes up to around 50ft by 30ft.


Can I return a rug if it’s not suitable?

Yes. Items returned in unused condition within 7 days are eligible for a full refund. Please see our Returns Policy for full details.

While we support organisations like GoodWeave International, we believe our own rigorous standards provide greater accountability. That’s why our rugs carry the FrithRugs ethical label - our guarantee of ethical sourcing.

Please note: Due to their age (often 25+ years), the provenance of Persian rugs may not always be traceable.
